1.What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that websites send to your device, where they are stored and sent back to the same sites on your next visit.

fotia keeps the use of these technologies to a minimum to protect your privacy.

2.No profiling

Following our "Privacy by Design" philosophy, we declare the following:

  • We do not use profiling cookies for advertising purposes.
  • We do not use third-party trackers (such as Facebook Pixel or similar).
  • We do not sell or share browsing data with data brokers.
  • Sponsor views on events are counted in aggregate, anonymous form, without cookies and without identifying visitors.

3.Essential Technical Cookies

We only use storage technologies strictly necessary to provide the service:

  • Authentication: session cookies to securely manage access to your profile and keep your session active.
  • Passcode access: when you unlock a passcode-protected gallery or album, we set a technical cookie (HttpOnly, 24-hour duration) so you don't have to re-enter the code on every page.
  • Language: a cookie that stores your chosen language so the interface is shown in your language.
  • Navigation preferences: a cookie that remembers the last workspace opened in your dashboard (personal or organization) so we can show it again on your next login. It does not track your activity and never leaves our site.
  • Upload security: a random identifier stored in your browser's local storage (localStorage), used exclusively to enforce anti-abuse limits on photo uploads. It does not identify you personally and does not follow you across other sites.

4.Infrastructure Providers

Our systems rely on secure cloud infrastructure located within the European Union.

These providers may set technical cookies aimed exclusively at ensuring the stability and security of the connection between your device and our servers.

5.Browser settings

You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.

However, please note that by disabling the technical cookies listed above, it will not be technically possible to log in, upload photos, unlock protected galleries or manage events on fotia.
